Let’s Kill Cartoons !!!

I just loved the above cartoon made by Il Giornalaio, in response to the tragic Charlie Hebdo incident. In my view its one of the finest, the most effective, and the most apt artwork made by any of the artists so far as a reaction to similar incidents like that of Paris.

Have a look, Hundreds of pens pointing their sharp nibs towards a terrorist, and are fearsome for the terrorist, just as guns of the terrorists are to the common people.

The Charlie Hebdo incident turned out to be highly instrumental in uniting the world again against terrorism, with even more stronger will, conviction and confidence .

Yet another simple, but extraordinary cartoon, that gives straight and strict message that creativity is like a flowing river, its flow can be disturbed, but cannot be stopped. Its immortal, its invincible.

The irony which had been with terrorism, and will always remain is that, the hard the terrorists tries to  establish itself as an authority which may govern people through guns and fear, the soon its impact and fear gets uprooted by the people and their positive spirits.

Some of the examples of how the pens, papers and paint-brushes are coming together, in spite of the so called “commercial rivalry” are stated below :

1. The British newspapers decided to give 1 million pounds to “Charlie Hebdo” to reconstruct the office and to buy the needed things to re-function..

2. Google decides to give 3 million Dollars to Charlie Hebdo.

3. French Newspaper Liberation (in spite of being a competitor) offered the Charlie Habdo’s staff to use their own office, saying that the office is not that big, but it may be ideal for a magazine.

4. Most surprisingly, the french satirical magazine” sine manzual” considered as a rival and a harsh critic of Charlie Hebdo, made the most generous offer of all, “take the cartoons and news from our reporters !!!

The terrorists should now re-think about their evil aspirations to harm creativity, art and culture of nations around the world.

It is said that :

Art doesn’t needs language to communicate, but only eyes to see, and hearts to preserve.

No men will ever exist in flesh and blood , who can destroy the art, culture and spirit of a nation to speak and celebrate its freedom. Harming the art and artist will always lead them to realize that –

 “Artists can be killed, But not the art. “
